I have an LG-37lc7d (37" LCD) with 2 HDMI in ports. I just bought an LG-LHT854 DVD home theater and 2 rocketfish HDMI cables (Best Buy impulse purchase). I have an HD Cable box that will produce 1080i and 780p picture.

I connected 1 HDMI cable in the 'out' port of the dvd/ht to the tv input1 and the other HDMI cable from the cable box to the tv input2.

I seem to have a lower picture quality in my HD channels than with my previously used analog cords (used previously with my old dvd player).

Do I have this set up properly? Am I missing a key component here - I have good sound through the ht speakers while tv is on but I feel like I lost some picture quality even though my cable box is reading output of 780p.

Any input (pardon the pun) is welcome and appreciated.

Thank you!
