1. can an original,modded xbox "take advantag or use" of all the file types that a pc cn?
2. can i execute said file types from my xbox? (i have a modded xbox using the mechassault save game xploit) and the dash is UnleashX?
3. is it true what people say about being able to run a DVD (or a regular burnt cd with apps saved on the blank cd) using UnleashX without needing the DVD playback kit?

Ok yes there is a way to run dvd playback without the playback kit.

problem the video quality is better with the playback then with the hack i would still recommend the playback kit.

Yes you can access different file types but you need to convert the files into a fat x iso in order for the xbox to read them there are tools to do this.

Also if you have a 2004 xbox 1 you may have a issue with the cd drive you need to burn a cd-r music cd and see if your xbox can read it if not then you cannot read dvd-r eaither

wow .. you have obviously never used XBMC in HD , it up scales DVD's and they look awesome. no need for the dvd kit at all.

what!? .. XBMC plays almost every type of media known to man, no need to convert anything. go here and look .. www.xbmc.org .. i also have never had an xbox that can't play a burned DVD after being modded.

get XBMC , its the best thing that will ever happen to your XBOX1.
