321 Tech support, GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

This may sound like a flame on 321, but I have to vent a little here.

I have a Sony DRU-530A DVD burner. I used to be able to make a disk to disk copy, then my DVD player tanked on me, and I replaced it with a combo DVD/RW drive. When trying to copy a disk "on the fly", the Sony wouldn't recognize the blank DVD+R. I figured the software was confused by having 2 burners, and couldn't figure out what the heck the problem was, so I called 321. The tech told me the DVD burner HAD to be the master (it's the secondary slave). I was thisclose to opening up my system to reset my jumpers, until I decided, there MUST be an easier solution; I had succesful burns with the Sony as the slave until the DVD drive tanked, right? I explained all this to the tech, and he said, nope, DVD burner has to be the master, and that'll solve you're problem. Well, I looked at the XCopy program menu, and what do I see? "Drive Select". Clicked that, clicked the Sony as the DVD burner, and I'm back in business. 321 Tech Support, you should have at least thought of that as an option. If I hadn't taken it upon myself to look further, I'd still be scratching my head after reconfiguring my drives. 3 calls to 321 on issues, 0 answers. I hope this info will help someone else. Sorry to use this forum to vent, but after paying $120 for this program, I'd expect a more informed answer.
