Can someone help me out by explaining to me how to download a torrent? I thought I knew how but obviously not.
What I did was...I downloaded the torrent, but it came up in like a second and it did not know what to open the file with. So when I click it to open it it just says open with... and I need to know if there is a program I need or what.
Save the file to your desktop and open it from there in a program (client) like utorrent, Vuze, Bit Torrent, etc, there are many (all free). That will start the download but there's a bit more to it than that, setting upload correctly, firewall, router, etc and you should use some form of ip blocker like Peer Guardian (none are 100%). If on Vista, you need the beta or a client like utorrent or Vuze that let's you import a block list. Old but some reading for you: http://www.dessent.net/btfaq/#what there are tutorials on downloading around the web, Youtube has a video for BitTorrent which is like utorrent, utorrent has an excellent forum and FAQ, Vuze has an ezcellent forum and support (those are the two leading client's, utorrent is much lighter). Also, if your ISP is here, you may be wasting your time: http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_ISPs
That answers part of my question but now I have another.... Once that is done and the file is downloaded, how do I get it on the iPhone. I have some movies that I have downloaded already in mp4 format, but when I drag it into iTunes it will not go. And one did go into iTunes but will not go onto the iPhone. Why might this be?
No idea on an Iphone but if it's anything like an Ipod, you'll need Itunes first so it can sync with the Iphone. Someone here should know or just Google it.
it is like the iPod and I have iTunes... Is just when I try and download it from the desktop to iTunes it won't go. Or if it does go on iTunes it won't sync to the phone.
For the sync issue, make sure the USB port is live, use those on the back of the computer. Maybe a reinstall of Itunes or an earlier version: http://www.filehippo.com/download_itunes/?3201 Don't know but seem's to be fairly common around the web with many causes.
