How to transfer files from LG RHT398H to PC?

Do i need to take the hard drive out and connect it to the computer or can i connect it to the computer using USB to USB cable?

I have some matches recorded on it and they are quite big of DVDs and i want to put them on computer before i put them onto DVD.. so is there anyway i can transfer files?

You should be able to connect it to your PC using an USB cable. Your recorder's HDD will probably be under "external storage device" or something like that.
