actually its kind of strange. I have a dedicated server located in europe and i can access the site from my box just fine but when i try and load it here in the US i just get an error. it says this on the site: "Our ISP is experiencing some connection issues at the moment, mostly with their international connection to the US,but it could affect other countries/ISPs as well, so until they fix it, many users might be unable to connect to the site.Nothing to worry about, just be patient"

Thanks for the info "timmimd" that is appriciated!
as for the reply to your first comment
- "there are plenty of torrent sites out there, i would not think that you would hang your hat on just one bed post!"
Obviously noboby ,(QUOTE) "hang your hat on just one bed post"
but TL is a dam good site and is in my opinion one of the very best, for a number of reason's which I wont bother stating
so if it is down then that is a "Major Bummer". Doesnt mean because someone posts about that you need to be so condesending and judgmental.

I'm in UK and have had someone advise that TL is working fine at the moment (both in UK and US), obviously that can change depending on the maintenance mentioned in varnull's link above

Yes, as it's linking to the confirmation of TL maintenance from varnull's post further up the page, but doh!, as the link was meant to go into another thread (it was the usual case of people who don't use the search facility and panic-post all over the forums). I'll fix it shortly..

Still can't access the site.
If I use hxxp://the-cloak.com I can view the TL homepage, not sure what's going on there...?
I can't log into TL though, I don't have a pin for ^ that site.
I also can't connect to the torrentleech tracker through my BT client (I've got torrent files from TL on my hdd).
I use TL everyday, have a decent ratio (above 1.0, over a TB uploaded and downloaded) and don't cheat so I don't think I'm banned.
I'm wondering if it's my ISP (Exetel). Using Vuze.

Yeah it says on their main page (got in using thecloak.com site posted) that their ISP has been having issues and for most its resolved, but there are still ISPs in the US that cant connect so we will have to wait till their ISP figures things out.....
Oh well, give it some time

I cant get in either. A friend of mine in tha chicago area can though. I got on their IRC server and was immediatley told that they are working as fast as they can to fix it. They wouldnt give me details but assured me that I was not banned or blacklisted. I also recieved an email from their support dept saying the same thing. Should be up in next few days.
You only sound insane if you try to explain reality

Yeah it seems quite a few of us can't get in, looks like we just gotta be patient.
My main concern was my ISP blocking the site, or an account ban (which I couldn't figure out because I'm a well-behaved 'torrenter').
Pussytorrents is also down (a part of torrentleech).

HI Schweet,
Exetel is seems are blocking torrentleech - as i can use it perfectly on tpg - but in another window using exetel from a different pc - its been blocked for 3-4 days now - b*stards - i'm calling them and leaving them
I'm wondering if it's my ISP (Exetel). Using Vuze.

If they're blocking torrentleech that'll be the straw that breaks the camel's back for me.
They've been going downhill and I'm over it. Time to go to TPG.
If they make me pay for breaking my contract I'll be annoyed but it'll be worth it to get away from them.

I'm joining you mate - you can even test it - goto http://proxy.org/ and type in the address (don't press the Go button) just select a proxy below in the list - and bam you're on TL - but you cannot download anything from it - it blocks the f*cking trackers

That's crap dude, Exetel sux.
But I'm wondering if it's a torrentleech problem rather than Exetel as it's quite coincidental that everyone was having problems. They did say the site was blocking certain ISPs and they're trying to fix it so I haven't given up hope yet.
Still, even if it starts working again, I hate Exetel and will continue my plan to churn to TPG.

It's not just in the US. I'm trying from Osaka, Japan, and I'm unable to access either the site or the tracker. Using previously downloaded torrent files don't work either because no connection to the tracker can be made, obviously.

Yeah we're in Australia. That's why I'm gonna keep patient for a while because other countries and ISPs are having this problem so it would be a big coincidence that my ISP suddenly blocked TL while all this is happening.
Frustrating though, torrentleech is fantastic.
Edit: Can access TL now.
