The program works fine, and I have matched the settings to many different tutorials....
I am using the newest version of the xvidcodec, and I have tried multiple dvd's...
It works, until the xvid monitor thing comes up, and then the program will shut off without warning, and leave an avi where it was supposed to rip to, but it is only like 65 kb...
I have also remembered to click the "whole" button to allow me to encode the whole movie, but it still wont work...
Not sure why, maybe there is a conflict somewhere. Did you try re-installing Xvid? Do you have a choice to choose a different codec(like Divx for example? I'm not familiar with DVDx). Use something like DXMan or Codec Sniper to see if you have any codec issues. too many installed can make a mess.
Fairuse Wizard is a good program to convert DVD to AVI.

ok...no i dont have too many codecs installed, this is really my first not already installed one....I can try divx, but I heard that is sucks massivly compared to xvid...
I am going to try copying only a little bit in another already built in codec....
I will post with the updates.....thanks for your help...
