Can Not View Back-ups System Restore Problems !

I have been having problems viewing my back-ups, regardless to what softwear I use, I tried 321 as well as shrink and nero6, end result the same, I have two drives C system FAT23 D system NTFS, I had to use force ASPI in order to verify ASPI checker to installed and functioning, DMA enabled, I cannot get my Sony DRX 500 UL to accept the firmwear upgrade to 2. After my restore I installed all word processing and CD/DVD softwear on my D drive the one with the most memory. I did however discover a virus on downloaded 321 softwear, I plan to secure cleaned replacements.
