I was looking to see if anybody could help me. I am wanting to finally install a harddrive into my PS2 to back games up on. I have a SCPH-39001. It has a drive bay, but nothing on the software that helps setup a harddrive. If somebody could send a link for a guide and or software to get me started, that would be great. Thanks in advance for any information.

any IDE hard drive will work, but western digital drives require the network adapter to be modded.

and only the official sony 40gig will be detected in the browser. all other drives will need the dms modchip to be detected.
