R4 Firmware? Questions!

Hey I've been off the scene for a long time, but now I'm back playing my DS again.
I just got a couple games and now whenever I use my R4 it gives me an error when I try to load the games section.
The firmware I have is English 1.21. I lost all my links so I am having trouble finding an updated firmware.
Are there any new updates past 1.21? If so where can I find it?
If not, why is my R4 giving me errors?

Also on a side note, What file format should I convert Ebooks so my R4 can read it?
