Firstly, well done chaps for working through the decoding nightmare.
Unfortunately, I am still having trouble with my SV PVR twin tuner. I have copied the new FW fix across, re-booted and checked my auto update but my VM channels are still scrambled.
System information still reads E_Ver 4.500,6 Jul 2007
What have I missed? Do I need to do the "burn" thing as specified in the manual, although holding the OK button through a hard reset does not seem to do anything.

Hi
Look like you loaded the wrong f/w. or not loaded it correctly
The latest F/W is ''The Box PVR 08/12/08_Fix''. (kindly put onsite today by sc0user)
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/727337 jbvid
I downloaded & installed the fix yesterday.
Had to carry out a full re-scan for channels though as when I tried to re-install my saved channel list from the HDD it caused the Box to freeze in re-boot mode.
On re-scanning I got a lot of duplication of channels [most dead].
Box boot-up screen graphic has changed for the better.
The box boots up now with no problems, have to make sure that the new key code option is switched on & auto-update also switched to on.
Will obviously have to wait for a key roll to see if the fix is working !
One improvement is the number of favourites has increased from 5 up to 30 categories. Would anybody know how to delete any unused favourite categories to prevent them from displaying even though they are empty ?
Thanks to the guys who have provided the fix.
This is strange, must be something I'm doing wrong although I managed the last update without any drama.
What system version should be displayed after the FW Update? Mine is still showing E_Ver 4.500,6 Jul 2007 but I'm not sure that this doesn't change anyway???
Have set autoupdate and menu lock on.
boot graphic is the same as always - looks like the FW isn't going in. I have copied it to the Firmware folder off the root of the HDD in the PVR and thats all thats now in that folder.
The FW update is called The_Box_PVR_081208_fix.rar which I think is the right one for an original SV PVR Twin.

Hi
Why not try and install the firmware with Null Modem Cable and a PC's 9 pin com port?? This way works with the PVR.
You have used winrar or winzip to uncompress the file first of course??.
This gives you 2 more files to unzip, the 'loader' to use with Nullmodem cable & PC and the 'box pvr' bin file to load into the loader and send to the box.
If unzipped and using the HD method ((TheBoxPVR_v3105_08Dec2008.bin)) is all you need in the F/W folder. (No Zips)

Looks like the null modem method has cracked it - just in a rescan now but the firmware is loaded now - new boot graphics and version is displayed in system info.
Thanks for the help - won't try to shortcut the flash next time.
