N95 Back light not working

Hi I have an N95 that the back light has stopped working. I have tried my screen on another N95 and it works fine so the problem is on the main board. I took the phone to a Nokia service centre but they refused to touch it saying that the warrenty was void becaused I had de-branded it to put on the Nokia firmware updates. Can anyone please help!
