I've a nec 1300a, firmware 1.09, win xp pro, p4 2ghz.

When i burn a movie on to a dvd using ex. nero, roxio, dvdshrink. The burning prosess is is a success and no errors accure, but when i try to play the disc in my dvd player (denver) i only get "no disc". (I've tried this with many different movies)

The funny part is that last week i burned (backedup) many movies, using the same precidure, and the all works fine om my dvd player (denver).

The media i've used every time is samsung dvd-r.

The "bad" dvds i've burned can only be read in my nec 1300a. (where they work fine.

PLEASE HELP ME! (F¤&%#&% nec piece of S%&¤)

Try not to do that.

Ok, im not overly familiar with the player you are using or the media, though i know of both. Check www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php for compatibility on the player. Also, what methods are you using to burn the discs. If they are not images, which they probably arent, i suggest using the DVD ROM UDF/ISO mode in Nero and making sure that the files you burn are enclosed inside a folder called VIDEO_TS. Have a look at the User guides in my signature for more information.

My dvdplayer (denver) is compatible. I've also burned movies last week, and they all works fine.

I've tried everything! Burning to video-Ts folder in Nero. Burned iso. burning and converting a divx file in roxio. Or burning with dvd-shrink. The burningprocess in it self is a success, but it seems like dvd isn't closed or something, because no dvd-rom or standalone will read it, except for the nec dvd-burner!

The weired part is also that i copied, converted and burned video-ts etc, last week, and everything worked perfectley.

I've haven't installed anything. So i'm beginning to belive that i've got a bogus player.

(Is it posible to not close a dvd-video disc?) If that's the problem it's very weired because i used roxio and Nero last week ,without changing any settings, with great sucsess! SO whats wrong with my NEC grrrrr.

Have you tried to put the burned disks into another dvd player?
