You would stand a better chance of getting warranty with Sapphire, but do not buy it. That cooler is hands down the worst graphics cooler that has ever been designed, the noise it puts out is not only unpleasant, it caused me a migraine-like headache after only half an hour of use. I had to remove the card not to feel ill, it's that bad.

Also, the HD3850 for AGP is usually bad upgrade, as the processor in the system will not be able to keep up with it.

so you are saying that A64 4000+ s939 couldnt keep up with the hd3850? so it would be useless to upgrade?

That's basically what I'm saying, yes. It wouldn't be useless, but you're missing out on a lot that modern graphics cards have to offer.

Do, even a standalone HD3850 for PCIe will run literally twice as fast if not more than the HD3850, not due to the AGP bus, but due to being held back by your current system, and an HD4830 can be had for a similar price to the HD3850 AGP, which in turn is about an 80% faster card.
