i was sent a dvd+R from a friend of some old concert footage from years ago and it has some pixalation or digital blocks in a few parts and i was hoping that there is a program that would fix that problem or remove the pixalation , any help appericated . they are very small parts this happen's just more annoying . i don't know if it is in the original or it happend during the burn or if maybe bad media , thanks
Play the disc on a computer drive and note where the pixilation occurs, the severity, and the block pattern (during freeze frame). Then play the same disc on another DVD drive, preferably a drive from a manufacturer other than the original drive, and note if the three items mentioned above are nearly identical. If they are, the errors are probably recorded in the program. If they are not and they differ, it is more likely that that errors are either in the recording quality or a function of the disc quality. In that case, using different drives with different error correction abilities may provide a means to digitally cut and splice the elements in order to build a better version through editing. (It's difficult and time-consuming, but I've done it in the past using multiple drives.)
