Hello people...so I've been trying for a long time to try and figure out how to rip dvds, I can't figure it out, I downloaded a ton of stuff including dvd decrypter and dvd shrink and xilisoft and after ripping from dvd decrypter there are like a million files...how do you get it to just one avi file? And when I used xilisoft it only copied like 200 mb and it was all out of order (this particular movie also has built in english subtitles since there is some chinese). I'm not tech savvy at all so someone please help and give me step by step instructions on how to do this...thanks in advance

1) decrypt to HDD with dvdfab HD (free version) Or use paid for version

3) shrink files with dvd shrink, output as iso/image to HDD
4) burn iso/image file with IMgburn

all programs are free

Thanks, I think I actually got the iso file thing but it didn't copy the subtitles (but whatever then ill just buy ones with subtitles), but i just want a playable avi file or something, not to actually put it on a dvd...like with torrents and how they just have one avi file...do you know how to do that?

Use a program such as AutoGK to convert your video files to AVI.

Another excellent program to convert to an AVI is FairUse Wizard. Rip the movie to your HDD using DVDFab HD Decrypter and save it as an ISO, and then fire up Fairuse Wizard.
