Perplexing Prassi Primo Problem

I have some short videos burned onto DVD-R media. Some were burned on a Mac G4. Some were burned on a panasonic stand-alone recorder.
When I try to duplicate, my PC (Windows Explorer) sees the disc as a full 1.6 GB disc. The prassi software, which came OEM version with primera duplicator and printer, sees the disc as 4.7 GB even though the disc actually isn't but half full, and finalized.
When it makes the image of the files, the process fails at the 1.6GB completion point (real size).
Any ideas why Prassi would see the disc as bigger than it is???
