Help with Free McBoot

I'm having trouble launching Free Mcboot for the first time on my ps2.

I've formatted my thumbdrive to FAT32, placed all the necessary files on it in the proper directories and renamed them as well.

When I put my thumb drive into my PS2 and start it up with the swap magic disc inside It never gets passed the Swap Magic splash screen.

If I take my thumb drive out and reboot, it Swap Magic will start as usual, but it never makes it past the splash screen with my thumb drive inserted.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey man i got good news!

I figured it out!

ok so here it goes..

1) put all the files you want on your USB stick for the freemcoot

2) make a BOOT cd of LAUNCH ELF which you can Download here http://psx-scene.com/forums/official-ula...tml........make sure you download the CD ISO then burn that to a CD

3)now start your ps2 up and put in swapmagic CD version dont put your usb in tho let swapmagic boot, then swap the disc for the LAUNCH ELF cd you just made.

4)Once launch elf loads put your USB stick in, then go to file browse, and go to MASS folder and everything shoudl be on there, just click on freeMCBOOT.ELF and everything will work mint!

this worked like a charm for me, everything installed fine.
