not a mainstream movie, so i'm not sure how many of you have tried ripping. i've attempted dvdfab 5.2.2.2. and anydvd 6.4.9.2., but to no avail. the disc simply can't be read. very strange, and impressive. any advice please? anyone? anyone?

i did try 4.0.2.5. thinking that it might work. sometimes it is strange that the newer is not better. i'll give 4.1.2.0. a shot if i can find it. thanks man.

Did you check the disc to see maybe it is scratched/dirty? is it an original (pressed) DVD, or a burned DVD with a fancy label?

the disc is almost pristine. it's an original pressed disc. i'm pretty sure it's the lock. both anydvd and dvdfab scanned for awhile before giving in. it's very surprising to find such a sophisticated lock on this dvd, but then it's by sony. thanks for the input anyway.
