Download/Connect DS to Computer thru Ad Hoc

I know that the DS uses Ad Hoc to communicate between
DS'es during Wireless Local Play, so why couldn't
a computer act as server to connect far away
people thru "local play." Also, since the DS
had DS download play, couldn't you download
the games to your computer thru Ad Hoc?
There must be a special version of Ad Hoc
for the DS'es, since when I search for
the DS it's not found. Could someone
figure out how to "intercept" DS
ad hoc signals?

Pictochat, and broadcast
things to be downloaded in
DS download play?
