help me plz. about a-Squared malware

I was haveing a problem where windows defender and webrot wouldnt update or find definition. i also couldnt go on some websites. well i ran across a-squared anti-malware. i installed it and ran it. deleted all i thought was bad. i was now able to update definitions and windows definder was able to update. kept it for about 2 or 3 days. able to get on web sites and still update. everything was good. i said. "ok i'll go ahead and remove a-squared". i removed it and computer went back to the normal practice. could no longer update or get on certain web sites. Can anyone tell me what Im suppose to do? Am i suppose to keep the program in order to function properly.
