I have downloaded a version of Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 off the internet and I am using it right now. I already cracked it and I was wondering if there was an actual safe way to update it. Everytime I try to update it, it opens up the internet browser and brings me to the Microsoft site telling me to choose what option to update to. And I click the recommended one. Then it tells me to Validate Windows so I do and it freezes up and doesn't go anywhere. Anyone know a program or anything I could use to update it safely?
Thanks In Advance.

one program comes to mind, buy a legitimate copy.its not as though they are prohibitively expensive.its not worth the effort to run a cracked version of xp.

All updates can be got as independent .exe files, all you need do is get on a legit xp comp & list all the KB updates in add/remove & also use the history link if the user installs updates from windows update instead of auto, the .exe updates are on the microsoft website in the downloads section, personally you'd be better off with a legal copy then once installed create an image of it with any imaging software it'll save having to reactivate when things turn to custard or just get a legal copy of win 2000 pro it's essentially the same & no activation required & should be dirt cheap
