Hello,

I am wondering how to remove code from a .ass file. The reason I am even posting to ask this is because this code changes for each line of text. An example of the code is:

In this world, there is malice born from kindness.{\fscx0}7tnL9D1S3OhSubIsp6CWSpAF0l7074QB43p67si8325KGn4v9D2LwbKGF35t5ukj0em1frpVuCy3Vpmv2MC7V

5vJ2DWj3z9g3RcRFUTVtfPssM84opPohsywWDQS5Yo73KlvOt7LEst6SS9zVhgACNTJ2tfYwBek1O58

The next Line:

There is also kindness born from malice.{\fscx0}85O1keBwYft2JTNCAghVz9SS6tsEL7tOvlK37oY5SQDWwyshoPpo48MssPftVTUFRcR3g9z

Because everything after

{\fscx0}

is different I cant just run a edit>Replace all

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this without doing it manually through 427 lines of subtitles?

Thanks for the help.

P.S. the reason I want to remove this code is because it is causing my subtitles to show up in the middle of the tv screen.

Try opening the file in Subtitle Workshop and converting it to (Sub Rip) .srt format then convert the .srt file to (Advanced substation Alpha).ass?

That didn't do anything :(

What I ended up doing was going in the .ass and manually taking the stuff out. I would however still like to know how to possibly fix this more quickly.

Subtitle Workshop doesn't handle all the nuances of .ass subtitles very well... or at least not as far as I know. If you want (relatively) easy manipulation of .ass subtitles, you might want to try out Aegisub, which, if I'm right, was designed specifically for .ssa and .ass subtitles.

You should be able to change the positioning fairly easily with that program.
