Sorry been everywhere and the only answer I have got is - No, there is not even any way of blanking the cart to start again. Try an email to the manufacturers, you never know they may swap it for you
I have the same problem and it's a joke. Rather than go into why it's a joke here, I will provide a link to a blog entry I wrote earlier today. I've never written a blog entry in my life, so you can imagine that this one has me fired up quite a bit. As I type this I have my daughter's Nintendo DS on my desk trying random pass-codes all to no avail.

i agree 100% with you i have exact same problem she remembers the word and no.s but spelling is a serious problem. im going to bang off a e mail to them and see if i get any response. ill let you know
OK, see how it goes. I've had a support request in with the "UBISOFT Solution Center" for a couple of days now, with no response. I'll advise if I hear anything back on that one too.
No response after 3 full working days from the UBISOFT Support Center (http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ubisoft_en.cfg/php/enduser/home.php), so I'm trying e-mailing support@ubisoft.com.au, referencing the support center question.
I found a way to reset the game, but your daughter will LOSE ANY DATA she already entered. That's fair enough as the password is supposed to protect the data, and in our case at least my daughter hadn't been using it long enough to enter too much.
Either way , my daughter quickly forgot the loss of data part when she realized she wouldn't have to save up her own money to buy another copy; she's now pretty happy and playing the game behind me as I type this.
The procedure is:
Put the game in the DS, turn it on, click on the game icon to start the game then at the Ubisoft logo screen (just after the swirl), hold down the left and right buttons (top outside corners of the DS) and at the same time press the A, B, X and Y buttons, it's that simple. Just remember though you will loose ALL saved data
The solution says that you might need two people but I managed it with my two index fingers on the corner buttons, and right thumb covering all 4 of the A, B, X and Y buttons. I pressed all six buttons at the same time AFTER the UbiSoft main logo where it comes up with UbiSoft Milan.
If you get it right it asks whether you want to reset all the data and from that point its like its a brand new game. Hope this works fot you and anyone else out there reading this.
