I am wondering which is a better choice. I need it for a 40inch LCD tv. The fixed mount offers low profile (1 inch of wall), and the tilt mount is 4 inches of the wall. So I need some help in deciding whether I really need the tilt feature! I have a feeling i might put up the mount and never ending up tilting it ever. (btw does it tilt up down and sideways?) Also I fear if i end up with a fixed mount and there is some glare due to viewing angle or something I fear I will have to live with it for the rest of the TV's life! Any ideas?

btw: this is the best section I could find, sorry if its the wrong one!

The low profile can be a pain when routing cables due to cable flexibility, input orientation etc.

Tilt, with a few more inches of clearance is the way to go.

Another reason why you should NOT want 1" clearance. Heat buildup may be a problem depending on the TV.

You WILL need to tilt it if you ever install a new device into the TV. (That is unless you want to take it down from the wall every time you need to move a cable.)

You could look into a stand like one of these.
I think these are a better way to go, atleast you can move it around.
