I just got this TV and am using a comcast HD cable box. The cable box puts out 1080i or 720p. Now the TV's info button will say 1080i when i use that setting on the cable box but obviously the TV cant display 1080i.

I have tried both outputs and 1080i looks more clear and i don't really see a difference in motion between 1080i and 720p. I was expecting 720p to look much better but it just doesn't.

So my question is what am i really seeing on this TV when the input is in 1080i, is the TV converting it to 720p, and is better at doing so then the cable box and is why it looks better? Should i try the 720p output again on different stations maybe? any info on how this works is great thanks!
