I knew someone who bought a Vizio 40-42" flatscreen for around $600. Don't know where but that's what they got. Is that a really good deal? If I were to see it at a Bestbuy, Walmart or Target should I grab it right away? I am looking to go digital finally. Thanks.
Vizio seem to make fairly good tvs, but you may want to spend an extra $200.00-300.00 and look into a samsung or sharp.
Bestbuy has some really good deals on those two brands right now.
But hey if your happy with the picture on the vizio, I see no reason not to pick one up.

Panasonic plasmas are always a good deal. The most dependable TVs on the market and wonderful picture quality without any fast motion problems.
I saw some hi def Sony LCD 120 Hz refresh rate 1080p tvs at Costco. Wow !

120Hz LCD's are a rather futile attempt to compensate for their inherent motion lag. If you like your movies looking like a video taped game show, go for it.
