Hey guys, this may seem like a trivial question but I am truly stumped here.

I out of the goodness of my heart decided to get an HD copy of "Army of Darkness" seeing as though my girlfriend had never seen it or knew who Bruce Campbell was. The format was in the MKV which has gained considerable momentum in the past months, so I converted them to a PS3-friendly MPEG, but as this caused a significant increase in file size I'm forced to burn to a dual layer dvd, only problem being every time I try to burn the single MPEG file as a data disc on the dual layer, the burn always fails. Could someone elaborate that I may potentially be just a dumbass for trying this method? I know I can stream it with my media server but I want an actual disc, is there any way to accomplish this?

As I understand it, you use Verbatim DVD+ disks and use Imgburn to burn them.
Since this is a data disk, the layer break is calculated automatically by Imgburn - unlike a movie DVD.
