Can't figure out how to edit my video files on my computer from my DVD-R camcorder disc!

I can't figure out how to take my video from my DVD-R camcorder and put it on my computer to edit then export to a dvd. Can Nero help me with this because I own both Nero 7 Essentials and Adobe Premiere Pro too. Please Help! Very time sensitive!

It sounds like it's on a DVD.

Once the disk been finalized in the camcorder, it can be played on a standalone player or PC.
If it has been finalized and you want a backup, open the disk on the PC with DVD Shrink ('Open Disc').
Click 'Backup' => 'Select Backup target' and choose to burn a disk with Nero.
