Nokia 3110c glitch: keeps on restarting. Need help please

This started when I let my phone discharge completely. I charged it while it was turned off then it won't go on again.

When i try to turn it on it goes off after a few seconds then just keeps on restarting and restarting.

I have tried everything (taking out the memory card, reformatting the phone, formatting the memory card)and am at my wits end.
Anybody have some answers to this one?
