Hello All

I have a M3 DS Simply cartridge and a 4 GB SD card.

I have loaded the firmware which are these files (moonshl, _DS_MENU and _DS_MSHL) onto the SD card using a card reader. I have then copied across the NDS games files from my hard drive onto the SD card. The problem i am getting is when i insert the SD card into my DS Lite the screen just reads 'Loading' and will hang at that point, no games are loaded and that screen remain constant.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many Thanks

I think you will find the Simply can only accept standard micro sd cards not the sdhc (4gb and above). Try again with a 1 or 2gb card.

2gb only im afraid .

i know it says it will take upto a 4gb memory card but as far as im aware they dont make 4gb normal micro sd memory cards . ( little bit of false advertising im afraid )

Thanks for the help, i have inserted a 2gb card and it works fine.

I do also think it is a bit misleading as i have seen 4gb m3 simply packages availible at some sites.

Thanks for the help.

There were a few non HC cards made, but they were problematic and now SDHC cards are the standard, you may be lucky and able to find one, however they are likely to be expensive.

hmmmmmm to be honest im not sure where you would buy one from and to be honest they may cost quite a bit even if you did find one .

as you already have a 4gb sdhc memory card i have another option for you , instead of buying a memory card why dont you buy a more upto date flashcart that would take your sdhc memory card ie a m3ds real or edge ds ?

both a m3ds real and edge ds will take your sdhc memory card and because they are more upto date than the m3 simply they have much more compatibility for the newer games .

m3ds real or edge ds will probably be cheaper than a new memory card .
