Hello, I have been trying over the last week or so to convert dvds into a dpg file for playback on my ds lite. only succeeding twice. both times with Super involved in the process. The problem the same thing never worked twice. and super seems to lock up a lot. Then I discovered dvdfab. works every time, but with poor quality playback. (flickering and whatnot). The two times it worked it was with different dvd rip programs. had to convert them to a single avi then to dpg. any help would be great, I like to use dvdfab, can anyone help with playback quality? aslo how do i get close captioning off?

To rip the DVD in one file, I use DVD shrink, one of the preferences is to rip the DVD into 1GB chunks, if you turn this off then the film is in one piece. Super is OK but likes the computer to pass its compatability test, otherwise it is problematic, mostly I get out of sync video. however I do find super to be the easiest, make sure you have the latest version (sept 08)

Thanks, I'm not sure why super is such a headache for me. But I doubt It's my pc. But, I have tweaked some settings in dvdfab and the quality is much better, or much less stuttering anyway. The close captioning magically disappeared? Not sure how I did that one. I wonder if quality is affected if I rip from dvd or backup?
