I recently got a sanyo 42" LCD for Chistmas, and the picture seems to be pixely and grainy on certain colors, mostly blacks and browns. I have dishnetwork HD and HDMI cable. I tried adjusting the contrast and brightness which helped a little but not sure if I did it right. Should I adjust the color and tint too. Any help would be much appreciated.

Also check the output of the Dish receiver and see if it matches your TV's native resolution (720p etc.)

You could also try a tv calibration dvd.
It may help you out.
