QUESTION regarding R4 cheats for Games

I don't know where to post this, but for those that have the R4, I have a question regarding the CHEATS.

Are the cheats PRE SUPPLIED WITH THE MOONSHELL, meaning that they are cheats for only certain games or previous games. (like preloaded, meaning it already stored cheats for SPECIFIC games)

or

Does it matter which game I download. For instance, I downloaded finalfantasy megapack, put it in my R4. As I am scrolling down, only FF3 have cheats (press Y for it), yet there's none for FF4/FFXII revenant wings. If someone can legitimately answer this clearly, it'd help me to save a lot of time. a buttload.

Seems though you are very confuse about this.

Well to start off, cheats do not involve moonshell at all.

Moonshell is a media player on your DS. To play movies and music.

The cheats are usually a single file which holds all the cheats for nearly all the existing DS games.

For example on my CycloDS Evo, when I select a game a pop-up will come up and asks if I want to enable cheats or not. I select yes and scroll through a list of cheats I can enable.

The only time I ever bump into a game with no cheats is usually a new shortly released game. I just hop online and download the latest cheat database and replace the old one on my microSD and I'm good to go.

Also are you considering buying an R4? Let me save you the troubles and tell you forget it. Go get something else.

-DSTT (Cheapest! $6.80 at dealextreme. Cost half of an R4 and can do 2x more than any R4)
-Acekard 2 (I hear this is a very solid card)
-CycloDS (The best DS cart but comes with a price)

Plenty of threads out there that give you step by step instructions on loading cheats into an R4. That's how I figured it out when asked to do so for a friend.
