HTPC DVI to HDMI no video

I have an older Dell SmartStep 100D with a PCI e-GeForce PCI FX 5500 128Mb video card. It has DVI and S-Video outputs, though the DVI to HDMI displays nothing on my Sharp 1080i LCD TV. The S-Video only displays skitchy B&W video, but it works well enough to see. Any ideas?
