I have had Nero 8 now for some time and had to uninstall it as I had so many problems with it and went back to WMM and ImgBurn. But I have now reinstalled Nero 8 and come across the same problems. I make a movie which includes all the usual video shots and some photo snaps, add transitions and effects, titles and music and follow the prompts to burn to DVD. The movie is just over an hour long but Nero is saying that it will take 5 hours + to burn. Ok - so I'll leave it overnight - but I have just checked back on it - the time has dropped to less than 3 hours in just 1 hour - when I minimized - it disappeared! Can't be found anywhere - so had to reopen and select prompts to burn again. If I try to burn directly from saved file it tells me it cannot read the file types. Am I doing something wrong? I just want to make a simple home family movie and burn it. I went back to WMM because of this problem last time and that's a real pain as you have to convert all the format first before you can burn it in ImgBurn. I'm not expecting anything super wonderful - just something simple and easy to do as I am not an expert movie maker - just a Mum wanting to have copies of family videos! Trying to work my way through manuals is overwhelming and very complicated - I only want the make a movie software and burn it software! Thanks for any easy to follow advise. :)
