Sometimes I feel I'm trying to crack a walnut with a sledgehammer. I've ploughed all the way through the DVD authoring guide, only to find that this was way too complicated for what I want to achieve. Now I'm giving NeroVision a try, but that doesn't look very promissing either.

Here's what I want to do: I have assorted pieces of video footage and I want to burn a DVD of everything I have by one particular artist. It's mostly TV footage, but some of it comes as MPEG files (one file per song) and some in DVD format. I want to produce a DVD with a menu structure like this:
-Show 1
--Song 1 (MPEG file)
--Song 2 (MPEG file)
etc.
-Show 2
--Song1 (Mpeg file)
--Song2 (MPeg file)
etc.
-Show 3
--Performance (not broken into songs)
-Show 4
--Performance (this one has its own menu. can select individual songs or all)
I haven't found any way of implementing the second tier (Song) hierarchy in NeroVision. Any suggestions how I can do this?
One (hare-brained) idea I had was to first create Show 1 and Show 2 as separate projects and to "burn" them onto hard disk. Then use the results as input for the main project which would simply have 4 items.
Will this fly? Has anybody else tried something like this?
