I am trying to take a 700MB avi file and burn it onto a 4.7GB DVD-R. When I am trying to import the file into Nero Vision the program freezes and I have to Task Manager out of it. The one time I did get it to work the file comes in at 4.84 GB for some reason and therefore it is oversized for the disc. Being new to this I might be asking questions which are no problem to you. Please help them to be no problem for me also. Thanking you in advance.

As a test, try loading the file into DVD Flick (it includes a concise guide that should get you started quickly).
Creating a menu and burning to disk with the included Imgburn software is optional.

If the file loads and converts ok, then you can try another file in Nero and see if it's a general problem or confined to this one video.
