what does flashme do?

I want to install this onto my ds but i have no idea what this does for me, can anyone tell me? thx in advance.

Flashme is a program to install hacked firmwares on a DS.

About 2 years ago flashme was required if you wanted to be able to run backup games from a flashcart.

Currently all it will do for you is make modern flashcarts no longer function as most of them need the official DS firmware to run.

I would advise not installing it.
