Je suis au Brésil et le standard de télévision içi est PAL-M.
Mon téléviseur français qui était Multi-standard SECAM/PAL/NTSC mais pas PAL-M bien sûr a rendu l'âme.
J'ai peur si j'achète un téléviseur PAL-M de ne plus pouvoir lire mes DVDs qui viennent de France. Mon lecteur de DVD est multi-standard, J'ai toujours pu lire les DVD que j'ai acheté içi.
Je ne suis pas très compétent et j'ai du mal à comprendre si les standards s'appliquent seulement au téléviseur ou bien au DVD aussi.
Si je dois acheter un téléviseur multi-standard, c'est possible mais nettement plus cher.

I was not carefull and I wrote in french. Here is my problem in english:
I live in Brazil and the TV standard here is PAL-M. My French TV which was SECAM/PAL/NTSC but not PAL-M is out of order.
I am wondering that if I buy a TV PAL-M I wont be able to watch my DVDs from France. My DVD reader could read all standards including the DVDs I bought here in Brazil.
I am not very competent in the matter and I am unaware if standards apply to TV's or to DVD equally.
There are multi-standard TV's here but the price is much higher.
