MP4 4G Won't Play Video

After trying everything, including trying to reformat via the March, 2006 post, I'm stumped (please see player description from yesterday). The MP3_Player_Utilities 4.03 program from that post says it doesn't work on my "disk type", whatever that means. Do any of you wonderful wizards know either of a conversion that will work, or, in the event this is a reformatting problem, such a tool that will work?
