PFM Type 1 Font install error...

I'm taking Digital Imaging at my college, and I'm using Photoshop at home. One of my assignments requires me to install the PFM font that came on my Classroom in a Book CD, but whenever I try to install the font, Windows doesn't recognize it as a valid font. I am using WinXP X64. Any assistance would be appreciated.
