Error message - ASPI device n=module not attached.

What is an ASPI device? And how can I correct this. Each time I use DVD Shrink 3.15 I get an error message "Shrink encounteres a problem - Shrink cannot find ASPI device module not connected. Please advise how I can fix it.

A DVD burner was considered an ASPI device and a so called ASPI Layer was installed by some burning software to control the device.
Nero dropped ASPI some time ago and it's unlikely that your PC has it installed.
I have been running DVD Shrink and burning DVD's without ASPI for years - DVD Shrink certainly does not require it.

You can run an ASPI check utility to check for the presence of ASPI on your PC.
If it is present - or reported as corrupt, consider removing it using the killaspi.bat file.

This file when run, checks for the presence of the ASPI layer.

Run the killaspi.bat file to remove ASPI

This is what I see when the ASPI check file is run.
As you can see, there is no ASPI installed.
