2 white screens on my ds fire card Please help!

i realy need help iv'e read a lot of useful threads on here about fire cards so here goes.

i have a ds fire with fire link softwere when it starts all i get is 2 white screens i tried to format it but when i held start and select nothing happened.

when i connect to a comp via usb fire link i don't get the usb option just the same 2 white screens.

i forced the usb connection (lb,rb,up,a,b) and ran NAND_ALL.bat this started to wark then came back with an error (presumably due to the card not being formated.)

a friend of mine mentioned that the cart may have been ejected wile the ds was on thus curupting the cart but also that he had heard there was a way to format it still (though he didn't know how)

p.s there is no error message just 2 white screens
