Thankyou for the reply.
I have a PS2 slimline and am basically looking for the "best" way to attach a HDD so that my 4 & 7 year olds can have more games than you can shake a stick at and not cost me 1000´s.
I will look at the attachments you provided.
Thanks again.

I forgot too ask but do you have Swap Magic?

you need to have your PS2 modded in some way.

If you only wanted to play games off hdd, you could buy USBExtreme disk.

Or there are people who install for the cost of postage to and from, an exploit to the mc called fmcb 1.8

Free McBoot is a method of running homebrew applications directly off a Memory Card as a stand alone loader. No boot discs or modchips are required once installed

FMCB Install Services

You would just need to tell them to install USBadvance.elf for you also.

So there you have a few option to run the USB hdd.

Wow, blew me away with that lot.
The answer is no to the Swap Magic and awaiting the new PS2 to come.
What I am looking to do is get the most games "easily" if you know what I mean.
If I go for one of the send it and mod it options do i still need SwapMagic or no?
If you want to kow about getting sat tv for free I can help you, but this pS2 stuff is all new to me.
Thanks again.

lol, sorry. There is quite a bit too learn and lots of things one can do with a PS2.
Ok I didn't realize you don't have the PS2 yet.
Well that changes things a little bit.
As the fmcb 1.8 is not compatible on the latest PS2 version 18 SCPH-90001

But USBextreme disc or Swap Magic are.
You can buy them reliably from online places.
Modchip.ca is one , and gocybershop.ca is another that I buy from.

Swap Magic is probably your best bet too use, as then you can also play backup games that may not work on the USB drive, as not all games are compatible with it.

Ok well you can read through the links I have posted, that way you kind of get a head start on what to do.

Thanks for the offer on free satellite, but I do have that also.
Been doing that since '94
