Hi everyone,
I just build my girlfriend a cheap computer and I'm looking to overclock it a little bit more.
I got a Jetway JM26GT4 motherboard with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 BE-2350 2.1GHz.
I overclocked it to 2.41GHz but when I try to go any higher I get a Bios error that I reset back to default. I can only get the cpu voltage to 1.30 as the max so I think that might be the problem.
Any ideas on how to get it a little bit higher?

I'm surprised you've got as far as you have with a Jetway board, you really ought to use something more substantial to get a better overclock.

I think it is the mainboard; that board does not support 1066 FSB (I think; Jetway seems to have discontinued this board; it is not listed on their site), and the CPU will not let you raise the multiplier, so I am guessing that 115MHZ and higher FSB is causing the crash; I doubt it is a voltage issue at such a small overclock. This might be memory or accesory related; try backing off the memory speed a bit, disconnect the drives, and pull the cards. If it still crashes, you know the board just won't do anymore.
This said, a better mainboard would cost more than a better CPU...If I were you, I would be happy with 2.41GHZ.

Well, I got some great news for people.
I was able to get it to run at 2.91Ghz!!!!
I just changed the multiplier from 9x to 10.5x.
I kept the voltage at 1.3 and changed the pci-e to 110Mhz and it works perfectly!
Thanks for all the help.

How stable is your overclock?? Just because it posts at 2.91 does not mean that it's stable.. Run a stress test for a couple of hours with Prime95 or OCCT 3 for 2 hours and make sure it passes for 24/7 use.. Some people seem to think that becasue they are able to play games without any crashes the system is stable, that's totally false and I'm not referring to you.. You could be in the middle of encoding a movie and bam your system locks up. Games do not stress the system under full load where voltages and heat become an issue if not stable. Once your Prime stable you are stable, no ifs and buts. Congrats on the overclock by the way, now run that progam before you damage something!lol Your making me nervous??lol

Too late, I already ran Prime 95 overnight and when I woke up it was fine. I'm very happy with my overclock and I got the video card overclocked also.
The only thing I need to do now is to get a Raid setup on her computer and I will do that when the hard drives come in.

Cool, nice work with your overclock and all.. I'm shopping around for hard drives myself, I've got a Samsung drive that clicks and grinds like you wouldn't believe.. I'm looking into buying a WD black drive, my experience with Samsung drives have not been good thus far.. The drive sounds like it's about to crap out here anyday now..

WD Black drives are quite fast, but they're rather unexemplary in the noise department, apart from the humming sound you get from the Samsungs, I'd say the latter are likely to be quieter.

The WD Greens are the quietest drives you can buy by far, and aren't too bad at performance, especially the WD10EADS.

My girlfriend doesn't need much storage so I just went and got the Western Digital Caviar. It's 160gb at 7200rpm with a 16mb cache. I got 5 of them (not all of them are going into her computer, it gave me a excuse to add more storage to mine :) .)
I already have 2 of them in my computer and they work fine, I have had them together for about 2 years so far.
