Hello everyone,

I have an old Dell latitude laptop that I want to erase the hard drive O/S (Windows 95) and install a fresh O/S (Windows XP). The Window XP CD is a Full version O/S and not an upgrade version. I don?t have the Dell CD?s (recovery/ Windows 95) so I?m in a bind can anyone help me erase the hard drive?

It runs 95?... don't waste your time.. no way will it run xp

crusher, see if the laptop will boot off the xp cd & if so then when loading xp, it will give you the option to delete the partition, make a new partition & format the drive(quick or standard format). what is the model# of the latitude laptop?

After thinking this over i will just donate this laptop and buy a new one prices have come down.
