I have a pc that I built to capture some shows on tv. It works just fine but, now, I suspect its time to upgrade given the flight to hdtv as well as the increased functionality of software in the last 5 years.
I would really appreciate any thoughts on the best tv capture card and also the best display card (dvi or hdmi output - doesn't make any difference as I will be using a receiver between the pc and tv (receiver runs my speakers)). My tv is kinda big so the display card, I assume, is going to need some capacity to do justice to hd type downloads. I would also be interested in any thoughts on pvr software.
