I'm after a steering wheel that i can use with the pc for GTR Evo etc and also for the PS3 for GT5. I'm looking to spend no more than £50, so what would anyone recommend?

A great number of wheels work!
Again, most of us have heard of the G25. Good wheel, good quality, but many of us just can't afford it.
Driving Force GT. I've bought mine for merely $90CA. That should really only cost you £50. It's a PS3 wheel made specifically for GT5P, nevertheless will work with GT5, and all current PS3 games, including all the PS2 games that worked with the DFP. It will however be recognized as a DFP.
In game where the game was made for 90Deg. lock to lock, the DFGT will probably lock itself. However, they aren't mechanical locks. From what I've experienced, they just make the return springs very heavy, to the point where it seems like locks.
It works quite well for all PS2 games, and PS3 games, and also PC games. What you need, is the Wingman Profiler. It will also, be recognised as a DFP.
Word of thought: This wheel may have the same FFB motor as the DFP (quite torquey if you ask me!), but the FFB feels exactly the G25, with 2 motors. I've tried both, and the return rates, and how the counter steering runs, is very much like the G25. Again, you are going for less than half to price! Besides the wheels, its similarities are much of the DFP. Pedals, and shifter.
The pedals are fine; I believe the internals are much different. Many of us have found that after a few weeks or so, (I went through 2 sets), that the brake engages like 5%. Calibrating it usually works (opening screen GT4/5, or connecting it). In games like GT4/5 example, press down the brake gently, to calibrate the lock ends of the axis.
For the PC, what you really can do, is buy a h-shifter from Act labs, or something, or get a G25 shifter (of course, do the click mods to get out the clicks). You can also buy high end pedals too. Again, stealing one from a G25 off E-Bay would work perfectly! You can, ofc, build one from, I dunno, a joystick, or from a TCrysis pedal? H-shifter, you can build also, with a FFB joystick/ or even a non FFB joystick.
Use with: H-Shifter (search h-shifter ffb joystick in GOOGLE)
Good Luck,
