Hi all. forgive me if this runs a bit long but I try and be as specific as possible.

The PS2 is a modded SCPH-50001/n unit with DMS4 chip and is running the most recent Toxic OS. There is a 250gb 7200 rpm hard drive in the hard drive bay.

A few days ago my cat was running through the house and tripped over my ps2 controller wire. The PS2 slid forward off of the shelf it was on and dropped about a foot and a half landing on the floor (the front edge with the controller and memory card slots hit the ground first.) The floor is hardwood but covered by a rug.

After the drop, the unit no longer displays through the component cables (the connector that uses red blue and green for video and red and white for audio). I can hear the audio fine, just no video.

If I use regular composite (single yellow video chord, and red and white audio), I can see everything just fine for PS2 and PSX games, but for DVDs I get only audio. I have tried toggling the modchip on and off to no avail, the symptoms are the same both in Toxic and in the regular PS2 Dashboard.

I removed the cover to take a look around, the video connector seems solidly attached to the circuitboard, all the soldering joints look good, so I'm at a loss for what could have been jarred that causes only the component output and dvd displays to become dysfunctional.

Anyone have any insight?
